I am a creature of habit – pretty much when it comes to just about EVERYTHING in life.
Yes, I am that girl.
If I could I would eat the same thing for dinner every night. And sometimes I do.
I just really like consistency.
With that being said, I used to fall into that same trap when it came to fashion. I’d wear black all the time. You name it. I had it. Black blazer, black skirt, black pants, black blouse. It was just so easy to throw on and know that I could pair it with anything and it would look great.
I guess you could say I wasn’t inspired by the pieces hanging in my closet, so I keep reaching for what felt comfortable. I’m sure some of you can relate to this. :0
Knowing I couldn’t do a total wardrobe makeover, I starting thinking of different ways to spruce up what I had. Sometimes the smallest swaps can make all the difference. Adding the right accessory or swapping out your usual top for something unexpected can take your look to the next level. In fact, I’m certain these items are already hanging in your closet.
1. Jeans and a T-Shirt
Instead of keeping this look casual. Try pairing it with statement earrings or necklace.
If you’re feeling extra bold, slip on a pair of colorful sandals or heels.
2. Know the Power of Layering
There’s nothing else that completes an outfit as a third piece.
This gives a more polished look.
Add a blazer, bomber jacket or a vest.
3. Put a Belt On It
This is probably the easiest ways to transform any outfit.
Put it over a jacket or a dress.
4. Unexpected Top
Add an element of surprise.
Instead of that statement top hanging in the back of your closet, try pairing it with a pair of
jeans and block sandals.
Not as complicating as you thought, right. :0
I hope this posts inspires you to break out of your rut and up your game without any hassle.

I love these ideas because I never know how to dress different or better. I usually do the same ole same ole too.
Oh, you are so sweet. Chelsea. I’m working on some other posts along the same lines and will be posting them soon. Would love to know your thoughts. :0
I love laying and dressing up Jean’s and a t-shirt.
I agree, Tina. Such a small and simple thing, but totally changes your outfit.
