The calendar may be saying it’s fall, but when it’s humid, sunny and 95 degrees, the last thing I’m thinking about is throwing an over sized sweater on.
Thankfully, there are little things we can do to get into the fall mood when it still feels like a heatwave is over us. You can leave the summer behind and look forward to fall.
Switch to Fall Colors
Switching to fall colors can make a huge difference. Try out a new fall lipstick or nail polish or accessory. These small steps can make a big difference and get you pumped up for the season.
Invest In Your Fall Wardrobe
If you start throwing on those layers in 90-degree weather, not only will you get strange looks, you’ll pass out of a heat stroke. A great way to get ready for fall is to slowly start shopping for your fall staples so the second the temperatures drop you’ll ready. Plus, it will build up your excitement for the fall season.
Try Out New Fall Recipes
Fall is known for being the time of pumpkin pies and lattes! If you’re like me, I have a Pinterest board just for this. Now is the time to try them out, so when Thanksgiving rolls around, you’ll be ready!
Start Drinking Fall Drinks
Thanks to Starbucks, the PSL made it’s debut in late August and if that didn’t get you in the fall spirit, then I don’t know what will.
Change Up Your Home Décor
A great way to get you into the fall mood is to change up your house décor and color scheme. Change little things here and there like your pillows and rugs. I also love lighting candles throughout my home.
